Welcome to
Rooted In Breath
A Space for Connection,  Learning, Growth, and Healing Centering BIPOC Women.

Hi, I'm ShaQuan

After years of supporting folks teaching how to manage their stress and anxiety, I was looking for a way to provide access to these tools and skills to more people outside of the office.   â€‹ My therapy practice is often filled, and I find that I tell the folks I work with very very similar things about how to care for their mind, body, and emotions. I wanted to create a space that allow me to reach more people the folks who are seeking support.

I’m a Licensed Psychotherapist, Trauma Informed Yoga Practitioner, and a Wellness coach. My mission is to help BIPOC women learn to not only survive their lives but also to thrive in liberation and abundance.  I want to help you  enjoy each moment of your life,  no longer putting off caring for yourself until the weekend or until your next vacation.  I want to help you make clear the barriers getting in your way, so you can live fully in the moment today and every day.

Rooted In Breath Is

A place to pause & regroup.
Every system in our body is reliant on oxygen to function.  Before we can give to others we need to catch our breath.

Take A Breath Sis

Take a Breath, Sis is a learning and healing space for people carrying a lot. Through workshops, courses, and groups, we support parenting and perinatal mental health, burnout recovery, nervous system regulation, and care for creatives and activists doing meaningful work. Offered in person and virtually, our gatherings invite you to slow down, reconnect, and breathe again—together.
